After putting a fake on safety Darian Stewart, Green trotted into the end zone. The subsequent 2-point conversion made it 23-16, and the Bengals held on. Its big for the team, man, Green said. Just taking that next step to being a great team. I think these games right here prepare us for going into the postseason. When were not scoring every play, when it comes down to making that play, I think that game will help us. Dalton went 25 for 38 for 301 yards to help the Bengals end a four-game losing streak in Baltimore .

Missouri 49, Toledo 24: Tigers clear the Toledo hurdle with room to spare – Yahoo Sports

Former Ray Elliot Johnson took Matt Andriese deep, but it wasn’t enough Hudson Valley’s season came to an end last night with a tight loss, but Durham plays on. They have an afternoon game that could send them back to the finals with a win. That would set up a 2013 rematch against the Pawtucket Red Sox after they swept Syracuse in the other semifinal. Triple-A Durham Bulls (2-1) An early 3-0 lead held up in Durham’s game three 3-2 win over Columbus . Two out hits by Jeremy Moore and Tim Beckham in the first inning gave the Bulls a 2-0 lead, and Nick Franklin’s home run an inning later extended the lead to three. After that, the offense didn’t really threaten. Beckham and Justin Christian would finish with two hits each. Matt Andriese was decent, and it was two mistakes that cost him. After shrugging off nominal pressure in the first four innings, former Ray Elliot Johnson and another Clipper hit back to back home runs to start the fifth. He would retire the next three batters and finish with two runs allowed on three hits and two walks in five innings with eight strikeouts. C.J. Riefenhauser bounced back with a two inning, three strikeout relief stint, and Josh Lueke and Adam Liberatore each threw an inning. Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (1-2) Hudson Valley was on the wrong end of another pitchers’ duel, and their season ended with a 2-1 loss to State College . The Renegades took advantage of an error to score a first inning unearned run, and they were probably lucky to get even that because Spikes starter Fernando Baez was very good. At one point, he retired 11 in a row on his way to a 5.1 inning, 10 strikeout performance. Hudson Valley starter Chris Pike was good as well, and he finished the season strong. He allowed just three hits and a walk in six scoreless innings with four strikeouts, making this his third straight start with six or more scoreless innings. Mike Franco relieved him, and after sneaking out of trouble in the seventh, he couldn’t do it again in the eighth. He allowed three straight singles to start the inning, and two errors helped facilitate the Spikes comeback, although both runs were earned. Braxton Lee and Jace Conrad each had two hit games.

The Intelligencer Community Calendar September 8 – The Intelligencer: Community News | The Intelligencer | Bucks & Montgomery counties

The young guys ( Aarion Penton , John Gibson ) whiffed quite a few times, and so did the old guys ( Braylon Webb , Ian Simon , Duron Singleton ). To put it kindly, they took sketchy angles on Toledo’s (pretty damn awesome) Kareem Hunt when he managed to break into the second level. They made some nice plays on the ball — Gibson and Penton each had two passes defensed, and David Johnson took advantage of the fact that officials were allowing them to play pretty physical coverage downfield — but I assume plain old pursuit and tackling http://www.rayj-sextape.com will be a focus this week in practice. 5. My favorite stat of the year so far: Christian Brinser has punted 10 times (a few too many for my liking, but that’s not the good part), and opponents have one return for zero yards.

Smith hauled in a pass along the left sideline and shook off Adam ”Pacman” Jones with his right arm before stepping into the end zone. ”We had a little scramble drill. Joe told me to go so I went,” Smith said. ”He threw a great ball.” Smith, who played 13 seasons with Carolina before signing as a free agent, finished with seven catches for 118 yards in his Ravens debut. Playing without starting running back Ray Rice, who began a two-game suspension for domestic violence, the Ravens mustered only 91 yards rushing.
